TELECOMMUNICATION
As the world’s telecommunication network are extended and upgraded, greater focus is being placed on the provision of rural communication services.Site access is often difficult and connection to an electricity grid is seldom possible. Increasingly, the world’s major Telecommunication Companies are turning to solar (photovoltaic, PV) electricity as the most practical and accepted technology for remote applications. Sunlight is used to provide a reliable source, silent environmentally friendly and with minimal maintenance requirements. Solar system for telecommunications typically power loads ranging from IW single wireless terminals to 4kw backbone repeater stations.
Today, major Telecom Network Operators, Carriers and Turnkey Equipment Manufacturers routinely install photovoltaic powered communication systems in small, medium, large and DC hybrid loads;
Small Solar Power System. For continuous dc loads from 1W to 100W.Applications include rural payphones, single subscriber telephones, low power transmitters and telemetry systems.
Medium Solar Power System. For continuous dc loads of 100W-400W. Applications include multi-access radio,digital and analogue microwave repeaters,satellite ground station,fiber optic repeaters and radio transceivers.
Large Solar Power System. Typical for continuous dc loads 400-1KW. Applications include multi-access radio,digital,analogue microwave repeaters,domestic satellite fiber, radio telephone and telemetry systems.
DC Hybrid Power System. For large dc loads of 1KW to 4KW. Applications include digital microwave repeater and terminals. TV translator and VHF/UHF radio repeaters. |
